Handmade Artists Books
While I am working on a particular theme or idea, I sometimes make a book, which is a collection of thoughts and sometimes playful images. I love combining different papers, weights, textures and colours and I always use a variety, including tracing paper, greaseproof paper, graph paper, painted paper and watercolour paper. Some pages are printed with images or text, others are painted or drawn on, or contain collaged images. I enjoy the slow craft of bookbinding as a means of collating imagery.
