Scroll

Science tells us that we have between 50,000 and 80,000 separate thoughts per day, that is 25000 and 3500 thoughts per hour, or 35 to 48 individual thoughts per minute.

Many of these thoughts are repetitive, useless or negative and can form a constant mental noise, arising and subsiding without any control from us.

They can stop us from being fully present.

Every morning I spend about twenty minutes writing my thoughts as fully as I can, and I form this writing into a continuous scroll. I later erase the words with white paint.

Today on 15th June 2021 this scroll contains 250 leaves, made from over 1000 pages and over 27,000 lines of mostly useless thoughts.

The scroll continues to grow.
